Pembroke Castle sits at the heart of the town. The streets follow its presence, the views lead back to it, and for centuries it shaped what this place was. It started as a Norman stronghold, later becoming something more significant again as the birthplace of Henry VII.

Through the Civil War it was fought over, held, and reclaimed. After that, the town carried on changing around it, from a working port to what it is now. Do you visit Pembroke Castle regularly? Whether it’s for a walk around history, or its annual events?

Please see below some videos that have been prepared to support our application to become UK Town of Culture 2028.

Postcard from Pembroke

As part of the Town of Culture competition, we have been asked to make a Postcard showcasing the town of Pembroke.
